Just before Christmas, my boyfriend and I went to visit Bavaria and its wonderful castles (one of which is so charming that Walt Disney copied it to create the castle of the Sleeping Beauty!).
The first thing we did upon arriving however was to take a horse drawn sleigh tour of the area as I thought it was a charming way to get a little feel and preview what was waiting for us this weekend..
The ride lasted one hour and took us through the snowy Alpine foothills, frozen lakes, Bavarian forests where birds were singing just as in movies (and we even got to see a deer!!). As sunset was approaching, Continue reading
