Power Breakfast

Primrose's Kitchen

I am very well aware of the benefits of beetroots and carrots on my general health and skin in particular. But I just don’t like eating them.

That’s why I was very happy this week to discover the “Raw Vegetable Mueslis” of Primrose’s Kitchen.

These mueslis are packed with natural goodies like ginger, apple, chia seeds and milk thistle, and contain a minimum of 23% of carrots or beetroots (miracle!)

Primrose Kitchen carefully slow dried them to maintain all the enzymes and essential vitamins and minerals and uses organic raw agave nectar and virgin coconut oil instead of heavy oils and refined sugars.

Eating vegetables has never been easier!

Mountain Therapy

Pure Altitude

One of my favourite beauty brands in winter is Pure Altitude, the natural skincare line of Fermes de Marie, a five-star mountain spa located in the chic ski resort of Megeve in France.

Each product is formulated with mountain plants or minerals such as edelweiss, marjoran, pine, arnica or lemon balm and uses mountain water drawn from the Mont-Blanc.

Perfect to rejuvenate winter-damaged skin and to bring a little piece of mountain freshness into my bathroom!

The Day we pretended to be Editors-in-Chief at British Vogue

British Vogue November Issue

Working at Vogue always was (and still is) my dream. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been obsessed with magazines and with Vogue in particular.

So it was just crazy when the other day, at the Conde Nast College, they offered us the opportunity to prepare our own magazine. That was our one chance to analyse in depth our favourite magazine, which is not at all the same as enjoying it as a reader!

We analysed the layout, the style, the tone, the targeted audience, the advertisers, the choice of articles they make. Absolutely everything. And we started to work as an editorial team to draft and prepare our own articles and issue cover and eventually pulled everything together to propose what we thought could be a great November issue for them.

Have a look and tell me what you think! Do you think it looks close enough to British Vogue? Would you buy it? ;)

Dinner Party – The French Touch!

parisian dinnerMy friends often ask me how do French people do dinner parties at home. So when I got invited to one the other weekend in Paris, I thought I’d take a few pictures to show you.

The table setting (featuring Christofle silverware and a typical Jouy printed table cloth) was beautiful and the food exquisite (the host made cakes out of carambars – a popular caramel candy in France – which I thought was very funny and absolutely delicious!). Have a look!

Beauty Idea for Women Day!

Unknown

Why not add a touch of yellow to your makeup tonight to celebrate International Women’s Day?

Here are the advices of Fabrizio Paci, responsible for the training at MAKE UP FOR EVER, on how to apply this very trendy and fashionable colour (approximative translation by me..)!

  • Apply it on the eye lid to give a natural, glam effect to the eyes, or
  • Combine it with a black pencil for a stronger, more graphic effect.
  • Keep in mind that it is always good to apply a base on your eyes before apply the yellow.

That’s it. Happy Women Days ladies! Continue reading

Hi ladies, I am in London for the Fashion Week and everything is so busy that I did not had time to prepare a post (really don’t know how the other bloggers manage..). In the meantime, and till I have time to prepare a post to show you properly how it is like to “do” the Fashion Week (mainly exhausting!), I thought it would be nice to re-publish a post I did on the fashion weeks.. invitations!

Friday’s Joke: The Anti-Fart Underwear!

anti fart underwear seiren

Sorry I hope you won’t find this ‘bad taste’.. but I thought I should report this important fashion news.. which made me laugh so much: a Japanese company (Seiren) created underwear.. which neutralise.. hum how shall I put it “unwelcomed odours“!! The underwear are indeed manufactured with niff-absorbing ceramic particles in the material fibres which apparently work wonder!

The company’s range has now expanded to 22 items, including socks that prevent feet from smelling and tee-shirts that mask the whiff of sweaty armpits.

A spokesman of the company commented: “At first we thought about selling them to those who require nursing care and to hospitals. But to our surprise, lots of ordinary people, like businessmen who are in positions that require them to see people on a daily basis, bought them”

Ah ah ah.. only in Japan! Happy Friday ;)
