Fashion Weeks is starting in 2 days for me (I am not going to New York unfortunately yet this year but am going to – and this is a first for me! – each of London, Milan and Paris.. wouou!) and I have not decided what to wear yet, i.e. I am going to be a fashion after-show parties outcast if I don’t find any genius look ideas very soon…
While I was working on my look, I discovered lots of super cool and fun pictures of the new look of 2013: the “Seapunk” Look. Continue reading →
This week, try out the new nude: Frenzy from Chanel!
In between taupe and grey, this new shade is indeed the new trendy nude shade to try out. The chicest “low nail” choice of the season to wear for a clean, sleek look with a sophisticated twist! Continue reading →
Today, my friend A.S. and I decided to try out a IT Beauty Product: the High Definition Powder from Make Up For Ever.
The High Definition Powder was created in 2008 to respond to the demand of make up artists who worked backstage on photo or film sets and needed to have a powder, completely invisible to the naked eye and the lenses of high definition cameras. Continue reading →
These days, as I am still following my skin detox program (read more about it here), I have been in the mood for a more natural make up. I just want to be luminous and fresh. Nothing else ;) After a bit of research, here are my favourite products for an illuminating nude make-up. Continue reading →
I started to tell you yesterday about skin detox with the newskin cleansing routine I started to follow for my face this month. Today I want to present some body products for those of you who want to extend their skin detox to their whole body, not just their face.
Just a little recap, a skin detox is about using all organics, chemicals-parabens-artificial fragrances free products to cleanse your skin from all the not-so-cool stuffs it usually absorbs the rest of the year with our usual products. Continue reading →
At the beginning of the year, we often think about dieting or even detoxing to clean our body from all the excess food and drinking that we all indulge in over the holidays. Yet, we less rarely think about detoxing or cleansing our skin. Yet, our skin too needs a break at least from time to time from all the chemicals, parabens, petro-chemicals, artificial colours and synthetic fragrances that it absorbes the rest of the year. Thanks for us, a skin detox is way easier than a body detox. ;) Continue reading →
First manicure of the year: Pearly Pink from Max Factor!
A subtle and classy fine shimmer with pearly reflects. My favorite nail polish for this time of the year after all the xmas and new year’s eve extravaganza. It reminded me a bit of the topcoat Première Neige that Yves Saint Lauren is currently doing (but yeah yeah is way cheaper).
You can apply it alone (as I did on these pictures) for a chic and subdued look or use it on top of other colours to add a touch of holo onto any of your existing nail polishes! It comes wonderfully on navy and black too.
And you… which colour did you decided to start the year with? A classic pink? A trendy grey? An couture deep purple? Let me know!
With all the food and drinks overdoses that happened to me in December and the start of the new year and my enthusiasm for a fresh new mind and body, I thought it was time to think about detoxing a little bit. While several doctors warn against the dangers of detox programs (mainly the fact that you should not do it too often), I guess that detoxing every 32 years should be ok for me. Continue reading →

Last Thursday, all Milanese beauty bloggers woke up happy: La Mer, the company behind the worldwide best-seller “miraculous” anti-ageing cream, decided to convene beauty bloggers around a convivial breakfast to introduce and explain their products to us. Croissants and highly technical discussions on an iconic product? Totally my cup of tea! ;)
Joke apart, this meeting was a great opportunity for me to ask all the questions I never dared to ask. So.. what is this Creme de La Mer exactly, why is it called the “miraculous” cream of the industry and how much exactly do it cost?
If you ever feel in a “resort” mood after all the fashionresort and cruise collections I showed you, then it is time for me to share with you details one of my favourite beauty lines.. coming straight from the French Caribbeans: the very chic Ligne St Barth!
This line is not one of the hippest in the market for no reason. Set up by the Brins family (a French family whose ancestors settled in Saint Barthelemy.. – or “St Barth” as we should more poshly say… – in the 17th century), the line uses delicious local Caribbeans flowers and fruits to produce natural products which all have heaven-like perfumes and textures. My favourites? The Banana Hand Cream, Avocado All-in-one Oil or Lip Balm with Sugar Cane Extract. Continue reading →
