Yesterday, I went to visit what is announced as one of the major design events this year for the Salone del Mobile: the EDIT exhibition by Design Junction.
EDIT is an exhibition of 25 international design brands at La Pelota, a very cool exhibition spaze in the Brera district of Milan. The event is very laid back, with a big table tennis to play with in the middle of the venue and the designs proposed over there are very “hip”. My favourite? The gorgeous OverNight lamps from Odd Matter and some very strange sheep chairs!
Visa is a partner for the event and, just so you know, in case you have a Visa Premium card, there is a lounge with free cocktails just for you (you will also have priority access and a guided tour to the exhibition as well as special tickets for Salone del Mobile events).
Talking with the Visa team over there, I discovered that Visa also had a Visa Luxury Hotel Collection which I did not know about but sounds quite interesting, so I thought was worth mentioning.
This is a premium travel program regrouping something like 800 gem hotels around the world. This service is available for Visa Premium cardholders only (so you would need to upgrade to a Premium card if like me you just have a normal one for the moment,) but this program entitles you to 7 key benefits: best rate guaranteed, automatic room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, free internet, VIP guest status, food or beverage voucher and even (when available) a 3pm check-out (personally check out times are always something I struggle with!). Humm.. time to upgrade to a Premium card? Maybe! ;)
