With the dry winter months almost behind us now (or so I hope..), I have been feeling like finishing up my richly moisturising winter creams and in the mood to start using some anti-aging formulas again.
This month I started to use Nu Skin 180°® Cell Renewal Fluid, a special serum formulated to help to accelerate cell renewal.
So.. what in it and what are the claims of this special fluid exactly?
- The fluid’s main ingredient is a powerful 15 % concentration of polyhydroxy acid (PHA) gluconolactone, which gently exfoliate the skin and accelerate cell renewal, thereby diminishing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores and improve skin firmness.
- The fluid also contains some soy isoflavones which help promote the production of skin proteins and inhibite the enzymes that break them down.
- Lastly, the fluid enhances the skin’s barrier function, increasing the skin’s resistance to environmental aggressions.
How to use it?
I use it as a cure, twice a day, on mornings and evenings. The fluid comes with a dropper to help you measure how much of the fluid you are applying (you need to use 0.05 ml).
A beautifully formulated anti-ageing serum. The polyhydroxy acid (PHA) gluconolactone is a good alternative to AHA or BHA products and the concentration of 15% is generous enough for it to really affect our skin. I have a very sensitive skin and had no problem at all with this fluid. Just one thing maybe: the fluid is not hydrating (it focuses on cell renewal/anti-aging – not hydration), so you do need to apply it under a hydrating cream and not only (as any serum really) as otherwise it will leave you a bit of a dry sensation.
