Milan Fashion Week started yesterday and my first show over there was the fashion show of the famous Fur Designer Simonetta Ravizza.
Milan being, as you can imagine a bit the mecca of luxury fur, I was particularly happy to be able to attend this show and get to discover how does a true luxury fur collection look like (especially since I never dared to enter any luxe fur shop and all I know from it is cheap accessories or slightly outdated vintage models).
The answer? You may have your views on furs but what I saw was really exceptionally beautiful. Her collection is called “Urban Luxury” and is actually quite modern cause it is designed for young modern women who like to mix and match fur with different style and price of clothes. She even reinterpreted some sport style pieces such as parkas. But my favourite pieces remain these classical, timeless fur pieces that make and will always make you look like this extremely elegant, refined and feminine woman.
Italian guards were guarding the entrance of the show which was taking place in the Loggia degli Osii, a building dating back from 1316.. How much chicer than normal security guards! ;)
In the public, several Italian VIPs (below Elena Santarelli). Above: my two super cool neighbours at the show. Chiara Totire, Style Assistant at Gioa magazine and Laura Tassielli, designer of the TPN sweatshirts.
These 2 guys were so funny.. apparently they are bloggers too (Jeoffrey Romano).
And then the show started!
