Detox your Hair with John Masters!

I could also have called this post “The Day I got my Hair Analysed with a Macro Camera“. Ever happened to you? It was fun.. and really instructive. Let me explain…

The other day, I got invited by John Master Organics to try out their Hair Detox Program. The first step to any hair program is of course a throughout analysis of your hair type. And the best way to analyse your hair type and needs is actually to look at it with a macro camera.

The cause of hair problems indeed usually lies at the roots of the hair, in or around the bulb, where hair roots grow and regenerate. A close analysis will allow you to identify common problems, such as dirt and styling product residues, excessive sebum build-up, bacteria or lack of hair nutrition.

So here we are.. I got this macro camera on my scalp and was able to see how much product residues and sebum were blocking the bulbs of my hair. The problem with ‘dirty’ bulb is twofold: 1) it prevents the hair from properly growing and 2) it also prevents the hair from properly absorbing the products you apply on them.. so conclusion: no need to apply (expensive) hair products to treat your hair.. if they can not absorb the products in the first place!

Enough said. What is the remedy? The remedy is to do a little ‘hair detox‘ every now and then to purify your scalp and remove all residues and dirty from your bulbs. Here are the products the John Master Organics team recommends using for this.

John Masters Organic Shampoo

The key product is the Zinc and Sage Shampoo, which contains 12 certified-organic extracts and oils, including Zinc and Sage, 2 strong natural scalp regulators, and wheat amino acids. Apply on your head, leave in for a few minutes, then rinse. Use it in cure every now and then throughout the year whenever you feel the need.

Once your bulbs are purified, if you want to properly nourish your hair, prepare a mask mixing a few drops of Argan Oil with the Honey and Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor, a super intensive conditioning which contains linolenic and hyaluronic acids, the same acids found in young hair,  soy & wheat amino acids, honey & hibiscus extracts and 16 other certified-organic extracts and plant oils to reconstruct and bring life back to your hair. Leave on for a few minutes before rinsing off.

That’s it. You’ll be able to shine bright like a diamond again! ;) Here are the details of the products of this program! xoxo
