Last night, we went to visit Omotesando, a very hip and trendy area in Tokyo, to try one of the “Kaitenzushi“, a conveyor belt sushi bar. One of the best moment in my life!
How does it work? Well you just sit, fill up your cup of matcha powder and hot water to prepare your green tea (the bar has boiling water tap at each seat..). And watch the dishes go by as you mentally prepare to eat all of them. Each plate is color-coded. Pink was the cheapest, Gold the most expensive (obviously). At the end, the waiter just come to count your pill of dishes to prepare the bill. The best thing of it? You don’t even care cause in addition to being the best sushi bar I tried in my whole trip in Japan, it was also the cheapest.
One thing to note re green tea: did you know that one glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of nutritional value and antioxidant content? This is because matcha drinkers ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water. Just saying.. cause I did not know this before.. I put so much matcha powder in my tea that I was near a green tea coma after lunch! ;)
But you know.. you only live once!

Me before realising that match powder is super strong..
