Last week in Milan was Milano Food Week! For the occasion, in addition to many private initiatives of restaurants, several public temporary cooking spots popped up in the streets of Milan. In case you missed it, here are all the pics!
First of all, you had a spot called the “Main Kitchen” where chefs would come teach spectators a few of their star dishes!
You also had a spot called the “Recipes Market” which was basically a spot where people could come and leave their best recipe ideas for others to take (in exchange of you leaving one!).. loved the idea (but dont worry, I did not leave any ;(
But I have to say that favorite spot was actually the “Public Kitchen“.. an improvised spot in the middle of the street where not chefs but people like you and me (or almost in my case..) would demonstrate their recipe ideas in front of the crowd!
This is the view from the inside.. oh
scary exciting for them!! ;)
Another famous spot was the “Fashion Kitchen” which star bloggers like The Blond Salad attended..
Worth noting, you can buy the “Milano Food Lovers” card which for 15eur will give discounts and free gifts (like a glass of prosecco, etc) in many restaurants, bars, brunches & bakery of the city as well as access to cooking schools.. AND a free week at the gym club Get Fit (with also a special price negotiated if you wanted to try it out longer for one month). I love the idea that they included a gym club element in their foodie package on this card.. clever! ;)

Buon appetito a tutte ;)
