Spring is definitely in the air here with us in Milan this weekend since this weekend is taking place Orticola, Milan’s big flower market! With hundreds of stalls of flowers and plants and free labs teaching people how to make beautiful flowers composition, how to decorate a summer table with flowers, how to grow vegetables on your balcony (and then how to cook them ;) or how to make a flower bridal bouquet (this one presented by Vogue Sposa.. not less!), Orticola is the place where to go this weekend!
This vegetable above is called.. Buddha’s hands! Have you ever heard of it?
The market provides gardening ideas for all types of plants! Just choose your colour.. and let yourself guide by the experts!
Once people have chosen their plants, they carry them around with little trolleys!
There are also stalls selling pot pourri and accessories for balconies and garden.
In the market you will also be able to get a free copy of many gardening magazines.. as well as Vogue Sposa and Vogue Bambini!
For sure, I will go back home with a bouquet this weekend..
Ah.. the pleasures of Spring! Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Orticola, 11-13 May 2012, Giardini Pubblici.
To pre-book your tickets (which I recommend as there are some queues) or to check the agenda of the various shows and courses, check out their website here.
Oh how lovely! What a great event – especially since they have experts on hand to help make suggestions and teach. That’s what I need – I have a black thumb!
No wonder Italy is so beautify – everyone takes part!
